As to Upper Houses of Parliament in EU countries female representation in the EU is at 26% with Belgium at 50% and Rumania and Slovenia at 8% and Austria 31%. These figures change regularly during the year depending on regional elections.
Speakers in parliaments of the 28 EU Member States Lower House are currently Bulgaria, Denmark, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Austria and Finland.
Speakers in the Upper House of the 28 EU Member States are to be found in Belgium, the Netherlands and the UK.
As to Mayors the average in the EU is 15% female with some countries zero such as Cyprus and Czech Republic, Lithuania, Rumania and Greece with less than 7% which is about what the figure is for Austria. Sweden with 37% is at the top.
